My first Type Design digitalization experiment
Liquid stencil is a medium weight serif font, drawn following the proportions of the capital and small roman letters. It has curvy serifs and split strokes are noticeable, similar to the ones from stencil technique. Infact, the font aims to be a mixture of a classic serif font (like Garamond, Baskerville, Didot or Bembo could be) and a strong connotated one, the “physical negative” which could be realized with ink and stencil. A “liquid” effect has born from this union of styles: for this reason, Liquid Stencil has been designed for headings or brief texts.
